Lasers, Fillers, Botox® and Beauty

Throughout the ages both women and men have pursued the idea of beauty. Now in the 21st Century beauty can be achieved without the pain of surgery through the modern technology of lasers.

Botox®, a world famous muscle relaxer and wrinkle remover has become synonymous with “turning the clock back” 10-15 years through micro injections as it removes fine lines and wrinkles.

Fillers such as Restylane® Cosmoderm™ have become common place for wrinkle reduction and smooth luscious lips. Using microinjection technique these fillers will “fill in” the areas of deep wrinkles leaving the area smooth.

Laser aesthetic treatments however have become the ultimate technology for non-invasive procedures to successfully restore beauty and have been evolving for the last 10 years. They are now able to deliver such beauty enhancements of reducing and even eliminating wrinkles, post acne scars, skin lesions, and superficial veins, reducing cellulite, contouring bodies and removing hair.

The latest laser technology not only involves the use of intense pulsed light (IPL) but has added high frequency bipolar radio waves (Elos®) to make the system more efficient and safer. Under this system aesthetic physicians can now deliver to patients painlessly:

Laser Hair Removal

Light/Laser Energy:

• Light/Laser energy preheats the hair follicle (target) and prepares it for further treatment by the RF Energy. Less light energy improves the safety factor when treating all skin types.

• Bi-Polar Radio Frequency Energy is drawn deep toward the preheated target. Preheating of the target by Light Energy allows the RF Energy to penetrate deeper and safely to get better results.

Gradually over several procedures:

• The hair follicle is disabled.

• There is a permanent reduction of hair in the treated area.

Leg Vein Removal

• Using the bipolar radio frequency and IPL the heat from the laser is absorbed by the hemoglobin in the superficial spider veins on the legs ( and yes the face) causing the superficial vein to dissolve.
