The Power of Water

The power of water is incredible. It is a vital and precious life-sustaining force, yet it also can be amazingly destructive. It has a tremendous impact on the human body in countless ways.

Consider water’s diversity. We can hold a calm, delicious glass full of water and appreciate its life-giving value, yet we can gaze in shock as we witness a raging storm and realize that water has a violent, life-taking quality.

For centuries, wars have been fought over water supplies. Today slightly more civilized forms of water wars are conducted. There are court battles over water supplies and usage in Southern California. Recently, several southern states fought over water supplies as a drought continues in that region.

The poor condition of the world’s water sources provides one of the greatest examples of how strange humans can be as we pollute the very thing that is incredibly vital to our lives, dumping waste …whether chemical or organic… into our precious resource, whether fresh water or sea water.

And we do this despite the need we have for water. Because our bodies have such high water content, we must continually replenish ourselves with the clean, life-giving fluid.

Our bodies are 50%-65% water, depending upon gender and age, and we must have water to maintain life, because without a regular infusion of water, our bodies literally shrivel and die. As babies, we were 75-80% water, and as we mature our brains remain about 85% water.

We can talk about water’s life-giving and life-sustaining qualities and its destructive qualities when Nature changes its mood to one of violence, but one of the most powerful examples of the quality of water can be seen in the phenomenal experiments of Dr. Masaru Emoto whose works have appeared on the New York Times Bestseller List and the movie “What the Bleep Do We Know?”.

Using high-speed photography, Dr. Emoto has captured the appearance of water crystals when quick-frozen in bottles after uttering words over the bottles. He has proven that it doesn’t matter what language is used or whether the words are spoken aloud or silently thought.

He has shown that words of love and kindness produce beautiful crystals, while words of anger and hatred create twisted, ugly and malformed crystals.

Dr. Emoto’s work has allowed countless people around the world to consider water in a new light. Besides being life-giving and life-sustaining, water is capable of taking on different characteristics. In fact, some people use water as a healing elixir once a glassful of it is blessed with kind and loving words.

Just think of the terrible impact there must be on our bodies when we or those around us utter words of anger and hatred, yelling and screaming and uttering vicious verbal attacks. The same is true of hearing such words in movies or music.

Now, consider what using words of love and kindness can do to our bodies. If loving words turn water into beautiful crystals in bottles, then they must also have a positive impact on our bodies. With words we can beautify, clarify and purify our bodies and the bodies of those around us, and make permanent changes for the better.

To bless yourself or loved ones, take a glass of water in your hands and say kind words before drinking it. The water will prove beneficial to your health. The words of blessing aren’t all that important as long as what you say is loving and filled with peace and kindness. Speak to any particular problem you or a loved one may be facing. Besides blessing the drinking water, kind and loving words should generate wonderful power in the water that makes up such a huge percentage of the human body.

So, remember Mom’s admonition: “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.” It really works for your betterment. Mom was right after all.
